The University of Ghana (UG) Corporate Football League officially launched its second edition on Tuesday, February 3, 2026, at the UG Stadium VIP
Lounge. This year’s tournament, running from February to June, features an expanded roster of 20 teams and a significant tactical shift by the host institution.
Vice-Chancellor Prof. Nana Aba Appiah Amfo revealed that after fielding five separate teams in the maiden edition, the university has consolidated its talent into a single, unified University of Ghana team for 2026. "The first edition taught us strategy," she noted, emphasizing that the league is now about "scaling impact."
