Safety First: PJMoT Conducts Comprehensive Medical Screening

Ahead of its highly anticipated maiden edition, the Papa Jay Motivational Tournament (PJMoT) successfully conducted full medical examinations for all

participating youth athletes on February 6, 2026.

The exercise, held at the Ho Sports Stadium, was designed to ensure that the young footballers are not only physically ready but also medically safe to compete in the high-intensity environment of regional tournament football.

Professional Medical Oversight

Qualified medical officers from Emmanuel Medical Hospital, Ho, led the assessment. The screening was mandatory for players in both the Under-13 (U-13) and Under-15 (U-15) divisions.

According to Mr. Raymond Tsiagbe, PRO of PJMoT, the screening focused on:

  • Physical Fitness: Assessing musculoskeletal readiness for competitive play.

  • Vital Signs: Monitoring heart rate and blood pressure to identify underlying cardiovascular issues.

  • General Health: Identifying any pre-existing conditions that could pose a risk under physical strain.
